Sighs WritComm is sooo bad. Ok so I'm doing an essay on the topic "Poverty" and my points are rather simple. Such as "Causes of poverty eg. Natural Disasters, Gambling & Bankrupcy". Easy right? NO! The books i've found from NP's library on poverty are stuffs like "Globalization" "Internation Business" blah blah. WTH?! I don't even know what's that. -_______-

I am mortified.

Anyway I'm going to sleep and wake up tmr, tears dried up, hopefully without a swollen eye. And i'm going to try to finish it. I'm praying that tonight when I sleep, God will speak to me somehow. Tmrw is Youth Day but we still have school! Why huh? I need some sleep and my IS group has to be in school at 730am! >.< we watched "The Forbidden Kingdom" on YJ's mac and made lots of funny&hilarious&silly videos with photobooth. :D FUN TO THE MAX!

Prata tmrw and Guitarfreakz (arcade version of Guitar Hero) soon! I am going to beat YJ hands down again! HAHAHAHAHA can you believe it he lost to me hahahaha oops bruised ego. But nevermind we're going to be pros at it one day and everyone will wow at us. Yayzxz!

Number One

A blond, a brunette, and a redhead were trying out for a new NASA experiment on sending women to different planets.

First, they called the brunette in and asked her a question.
"If you could go to any planet, what planet would you want to go to and why?"
After pondering the question she answered, "I would like to go to Mars because it seems so interesting with all the recent news about possible extra terrestrial life on the planet."
They said "well okay, thank you." And told her that they would get back to her.

Next, the redhead entered the room and the NASA people asked her the same question. In reply, "I would like to go to Saturn to see all of its rings." Again, "thank you" and they would get back to her.

Finally, the blond entered the room and they asked her the same question they asked the brunette and the redhead. She thought for a while and replied, "I would like to go to the sun."
The people from NASA replied, "why, don't you know that if you went to the sun you would burn to death?"

The blond smirked and put her hands on her hips. "Are you guys dumb? I'd go at night!"

Number Two

A blonde and a redhead went to the bar after work for a drink, and sat on stools watching the 6 O'clock news. A man was shown threatening to jump from the Brooklyn Bridge, and the blonde bet the redhead $50 that he wouldn't jump.

Sure enough, he jumped, so the blonde gave the redhead $50. The redhead said,

"I can't take this, you're my friend."

But the blonde insisted saying,

Then the redhead said

She got out and walked over to the farmer and said,

The farmer, being a bit of a gambler himself, said she could have a try.

The farmer was amazed - she was right! So the blonde, (who looked like a brunette), picked one out and got back into her car.

Before she left, farmer walked up to her and said.

Number Four

A plane is on its way to Detroit when a blonde woman in economy class gets up and moves into an open seat in the first class section.

The flight attendant watches her do this, and politely informs the woman that she must sit in economy class because that's the type of ticket she paid for.

The blonde replies, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Detroit and I'm staying right here."

After repeated attempts and no success at convincing the woman to move, the flight attendant goes into the cockpit and informs the pilot and co-piolet that there's a blonde bimbo sitting in first class who refuses to go back to her proper seat. The co-pilot goes back to the woman and explains why she needs to move, but once again the woman replies by saying, "I'm blonde, I'm beatiful, I'm going to Detroit and I'm staying right here."

The co-pilot returns to the cockpit and suggests that perhaps they should have the arrival gate call the police and have the woman arrested when they land. The pilot says, "You say she's blonde? I'll handle this. I'm married to a blonde. I speak blonde." He goes back to the woman and whispers quietly in her ear, and she says, "Oh, I'm sorry," then quickly moves back to her seat in economy class.

The flight attendant and co-pilot are amazed and ask him what he said to get her to move back to economy without causing any fuss.

"I told her first class isn't going to Detroit."

As you can see, I have a habit of posting things up late thus I can't remember what date this is supposed to be up. But ohwells.

I absolutely adore the black background with floral prints so there's plenty of photos of us with it in the background. Niceeeeeeee.

Did I mention I got my hair chopped off? Well, those thin parts at the bottom of my hair is gone! Now it feels so short. >.< But again, I think I'm quite pleased with my hair. (And I didn't cut my fringe because Cousin JK was practically begging not to do so till 2 June!)

Uhm, remember the hair model thingy? Yeah JK claims he need my fringe to be long to do the not-so-nice-but-no-choice-have-to-do tai tai hairstyle (right, eme?!) but the thin part of my hair has to go. So... yeah. Apparently the guy (whom I feel is quite obnoxious arhem btw, he's not my cousin) who cut my hair charge like 90+ bucks for a haircut and I got it for like ZERO dollars? The pool party was great and the BBQ was awesome because I didn't have to cook or anything. The food magically BBQ-ed itself and appeared on the table, waiting for us hungry people to devour.

Mass Communications in NP.

Not as bad as I expected, but not perfect either. I'm really thankful that I made really good friends, people who are sincerely nice and friendly ... not stuck-up or arrogant as most people would assume mass comm people to be. (Or am I the only who have that impression?) Oh and for the record, there aren't many bimbos in there. (Hehee, contrary to what I heard before I came in!)

I can use one word to describe the people around me. LOUD. Like seriously, darn loud. Talk loud, laugh loud, eat loud (ok maybe not). And not to mention ... HYPER. Dramatic actions, silly cheers, crazy dance moves.

Currently my favourate module is Radio Production and Speech Communication. Probably largely due to the fact that the lecturers for both modules are so humourous. (And they've got style, man!) But, I like the content too! It's appealing to me. Hahaha. Thank You Lord for good lecturers!

Okeydokey that's my first week of poly life in a nutshell. I need sleeeeeeeep.

I couldn't sleep last night. Lay awake on my bed from 12am all to 3am. (or was it 4am?) Ah, anyway, I kept thinking about school luh! Insane right?! Think probably because I haven't been studying for almost 6 months already? And I'm actually miss mugging for school!

Haha, I kept anticipating how poly life would be like. My future classmates. Whether Mass Comm is really that "ang-moh" as people say. Whether there are cute guys. JUST KIDDING! That's not the point. And and, what I'm going to do in NP. How to change the flavour there? How do I connect with the people there and bring God into their lives? So exciting to think about such things. Hehe, and as a result, my mind was totally flooded with questions and anticipation and expectations and ... just so many mixed emotions. I came to this conculsion, I can't possibly predict what's going to happen in say, a few weeks time. So I still gotta depend on God, taking it one day at a time cuz He sees the Big Picture.

My Big Dream lies somewhere out there in NP. I know it, it's beating so hard in my heart nowadays. Yes I've been reading this book.

It's a must read la! It's as though God spoke straight into my heart with this book.

Okay so after 3 hours of tossing and excitement (sounds abit crazy I know), my brain finally cannot tahan anymore, surrendered and I collapsed at 3am plus. :D

It's exactly one week to my Piano Exam next Wednesday. Seriously speaking, I'm so NOT prepared for it. I think I'm going to flunk. But then again, part of me says I will not. Because I've been practicing my piano. But then again, I don't think that it's sufficient to prepare me for the upcoming exam. So please, pray for me. I AM VERY UPSET RIGHT NOW.

I thought yesterday was suay enough because I slipped and fell and landed on my butt (Ouch! It still hurts alright!) early in the morning. BUT, nono, i was wrong. Today is suay-er.

First, my phone decided to go for a swim. While I was washing my hands after helping out at daddy's store, it suddenly came alive and jumped into the sink full of water. I didn't know how it happened, but it just did. It sank right to the bottom! Then it died. Went on strike. Stopped working. Please, I even attempted to revive it by blowing it dry with a hairdryer. But it just decided it was time for a break. As a result, all my contacts are gone. ):

Ok so nevermind about the phone. Out with Clifford. Asked for job at Raffles Hotel (interview on Tues!) and settled blogshop thing. And guess what? My shoe strap broke. IT WAS MY FAVOURATE PAIR ALRIGHT! The pair of red sandals. Because of some stranger who stepped on my sandals! RAH. Ended up I had to buy another pair. - Digression Number One. I should have made the stranger pay for me right! Digression Number Two. I can imagine Oikos girls going "Oh no, not another shoe?" - Poor shoe.

Bad enough? Oh no. That's not all. I came home, thinking that I deserve a good long rest from all the "accidents". Stepped into the bathroom, took off my lens, and quickly turn around to go out. And BANG! Smacked my face into the bathroom door. I think my nose is flattened already. (Which I don't like, I'm very pleased with my current nose, thank you.)

Madness. And not to mention, the wireless signal in my house today is weaker than ever. I keep signing in and out of msn. (But I'm appearing offline luh, if not everyone would be so irritated already.)

Please comfort me. Encouragements, or maybe even treat me to Subway cookies. (I can down 4 in one go!) Or maybe some Ben&Jerry's. Or or or ... aiya, whatever la. I think all these are making me mad and I'm ranting on and on which is so unlike the usual me. Sigh, I've got a weak heart luh, can't take too many shocks/accidents/pain in a day.

In case you're wondering, NAH i'm still alive. Hehe, just haven't been blogging that's all. I'm fine and even more fine-r, especially after the release of O results!

L1R5 10 and L1R4 8! What more can I ask for right? (: Studying with God's wisdom really helped alot la. After much hesitation and prayer and consultation, I decided on Mass Communication at NP. Yeah, instead of ACJC (which i've been ranting about since like the start of this year) or AJC or SAJC (of which both are like super far from my house!). You know what, I'm gonna top the cohort! :D Yep, you heard that right.

You know, 2007 had been a great year for me. I've gone through many stuffs, some unhappy, some simply exciting. Seen, grown, matured. (:

I believe 2008 will be even more exciting. God had given me dreams for myself, for Oikos. (: I can't wait! Even though i don't know what 2008 holds for me, or even the school I'll be placed in, I know for sure that I'll serve God in a greater capacity. His promise to me. It'll be something that's beyond me, it'll be a God-thing. :D

Haven't been online for a million years already. Haha, i think i did okay for all the papers. Hallelujah! It's really by His strength. If not, I'd probably be exhausted/stressed out/dead to the max by now. :D

I know that I shouldn't think about what to do after Os now, especially since I've got Physics Paper 2 on Friday but I can't help it! Mission Trip, YI camp, class chalet, family holiday to unknown destination. Lalala.

Oh right! I'm thinking of baking cookies or cupcakes or whatever to sell after my Os. Raising money for Mission Trip to Thailand. Well, this time (for once) I am paying for myself. I must start taking responsible for what I want to do, so I need to raise money. Good idea? (: I haven't really decided on what to sell or the price yet. Hi I've got 2 testimonies to share! (:

One.

A few days back, my mum was so sick that she couldn't sleep the whole night. She kept vomiting and she could barely get out of the bed in the morning. Neither did she eat anything that day
because she said that everything that she tried to eat (even porridge), she wanted to vomit out. Of cause, she took some medicine but it rendered useless.

That night, she was so tired that she even resorted to sleeping on the floor as the bed was too hot. Well, it should be as she was lying there the whole day. My mum asked me to pray for her. I did. But she still felt weak all over.

The next morning, I went to school as usual. I forgot to check on her as I was running late. That afternoon she called me. She was well! Apparently, in the middle of the night, she was already feeling better. By the time the sun was up, she was totally fine and could get on with the usual chores!

That is the grace of God. And the power of prayer that even medicine could not measure up. (:

Two.

It's 13 days to the first written paper for Os, i ought to be cramming as much information as possible into my puny brain. And maybe get freaked out by the little time i've left. Afterall, it's human's nature to be stressed and worried etc. Right? No. God changed that mindset of mine.

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

Yes, when I don't compromise the time I have with God, God grants me more wisdom to study. I mean, get to spend quality time with Daddy and in the process get blessed? Wow, anyone who has a brain would know that it is definitely the best way to study. (:

When I'm stressed, it's when I need to turn to Him. Nobody can take away the stress and give me peace better then Jesus. (:

Ohoh i feel like baking something. Like cheesecake! Peanut butter cookies! Biscotti! Shepherd's pie! Brownie! Anything! (: Oh man, I love to bake. *smacks lips* I love to eat what I bake. But more then that, I love to share them. With my family, my friends, my cell group.

I'll find a time to bake, I promise. It's not a chore to me, it's a joy! The kind of satisfaction I get out of it is definitely immeasurable. And I think I've just found another way to de-stress myself. (:

I think I did pretty okay for today's Eng and Lit paper. I was able to write in super fast speed for both, and finished within the time limit! Always had a problem with time management during the exams but not this time. Praise God! Thank you Daddy!
